Paper quilling arts


          
                Paper quilling is a beautiful art. We can make great creations from use paper quilling technic. And also, paper quelling creations are very expensive. Because we have to do many things for finish a great creation. It takes lot of time and some expense. It also requires patience.

     

        

        When I was a little boy, I very like to make paper quilling creations. So, my parents and sibling encouraged me to make them. I started from cutting paper strips. But it was a difficult task to me. Because at that time I did not have a strip cutting machine. However, I did it.  After I rolled strips and make beautiful creations. As I can remember first, I made a little flower. It was very cute. I made many flowers like that. Secondly, I made paper quilling leaves. And collect them like a bunch of flowers. It wasn’t very good creation. But I had a better feel about that.



          Later I tried to make difficult designs. Some of them are peacocks, tigers, anthurium flowers, a baby, a princes and Santa Claus etc. I could to make them very beautifully. I like paper quilling arts yet. And now I am a good paper quilling artist.

  Teachers I respect a lot           I have learnt from a lot of teacher since my childhood. They all taught me well. so, I respect all of them. but I had some teachers. But there were a few teachers I was closely associated with. most of the time they were my music teachers. When I was in sixth grade, my music teacher was Mrs. Nishadi Saumya. she is really good teacher. she loved me so much. because I was clever in Music subject. I have learnt many things from her.            Then I went to Madampa Central College for secondary education. There I met my best teacher. Her name is Mrs. Nirusha. She is also a good teacher. she treated me like her son. So as a teacher I love her a lot. Also, Mr. Sanath is a very good teacher. He also taught me a lot. He really taught me a lot of important things. Mr. Kapila is a loving teacher. he also loved me a lot. really, I love all of them. and I respect them very much.

  Great opportunity I got           I have had many opportunities. One of them was that I was able to sing in our church choir. I am Buddhist. But my mother is Catholic. Because I used to go to the temple and church. But until then a Buddhist had not been in the choir. However, our father recognized me from a school Christmas carol competition. After that He asked me if I could come and play the violin in the church . I did not expect such a thing. But I liked it. So, I said I would come.            Later I participated to their practices. That was a great opportunity to improve my playing as well as singing. Later I spent my time in the church and practice well. I had a desire sing with the choir . I was able to achieve that. Now I sing with them. It is really a great opportunity for me.
