The best experience of my student life



Kalpitiya is a rural area in Puttalam district. I studied at there until I finished my ordinary level education. I could to receive many opportunities in kalpitiya Nirmala matha school. But I was not able to get national experience from there.

  After I went to Madampa senanayaka Central College. Until then I wasn't able to participate in many inter-school music competitions. But I had the ability. In my first year of that school my teachers presented me to a solo violin competition. But I didn't win the competition. That is an unforgettable day for me. I was very scared, because I had never participated in a competition like that before. So, I worried about me. 

But next year my loving teachers presented me to three competitions. They encouraged me to face my challenges. We practiced whenever we could. That was very enjoyable experience. During the practice we spoke about many things. And we shared our knowledge. We had our food together; We fought; we sang; etc. we did many things.  Finally, we participated to the all-island competition. I met many giants in music industry and I learned many things from that. we could to win places for every event what we had participated. So that is a special opportunity to me and the best experience in my student life.

  Teachers I respect a lot           I have learnt from a lot of teacher since my childhood. They all taught me well. so, I respect all of them. but I had some teachers. But there were a few teachers I was closely associated with. most of the time they were my music teachers. When I was in sixth grade, my music teacher was Mrs. Nishadi Saumya. she is really good teacher. she loved me so much. because I was clever in Music subject. I have learnt many things from her.            Then I went to Madampa Central College for secondary education. There I met my best teacher. Her name is Mrs. Nirusha. She is also a good teacher. she treated me like her son. So as a teacher I love her a lot. Also, Mr. Sanath is a very good teacher. He also taught me a lot. He really taught me a lot of important things. Mr. Kapila is a loving teacher. he also loved me a lot. really, I love all of them. and I respect them very much.

  Great opportunity I got           I have had many opportunities. One of them was that I was able to sing in our church choir. I am Buddhist. But my mother is Catholic. Because I used to go to the temple and church. But until then a Buddhist had not been in the choir. However, our father recognized me from a school Christmas carol competition. After that He asked me if I could come and play the violin in the church . I did not expect such a thing. But I liked it. So, I said I would come.            Later I participated to their practices. That was a great opportunity to improve my playing as well as singing. Later I spent my time in the church and practice well. I had a desire sing with the choir . I was able to achieve that. Now I sing with them. It is really a great opportunity for me.
